Think you've been scammed?
Act quickly and report it — even if you didn't lose money. Every report helps investigators connect cases and shut scammers down.
1. Stop the bleeding
Cut off contact with the scammer. Call your bank or card issuer to freeze or dispute payments, and change any passwords you may have exposed — starting with your email account.
2. Report it to the FBI
The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is the FBI's central hub for reporting cyber-enabled crime. Rapid reporting can sometimes help recover wired funds.
